DC Carter Hawaii Area Manager Pacific Environmental Corp
David DC Carter started cleaning up spilled oil by operating a maxi-barge on Prince William Sound during the VALDEZ spill in 1989. Formerly an Oilfield Diver, a Diving Superintendent, and a MODU Barge Master, DC had developed a roughneck's feel for oil and a mariners understanding of the water. In 1993 he began working with the Clean Islands Council in Honolulu, Hawaii and soon became one of the busiest and most respected responders in the Pacific. A 2007 Legacy Award Recipient, DC is now the Hawaii Area Manger for Pacific Environmental Corporation (PENCO) and works from the PENCO headquarters on Pier 14 in Honolulu Harbor.
